March 6th Vaccination Safety Workshop with Dr. Feder 10:30-12:30 PM
There
has been a growing movement among parents to question the safety of
such standard procedures such as vaccinations to antibiotics. This
workshop is for parents who are seeking optimum health for their
children. Dr. Feder will present and overview of health, disease and
each vaccination. Includes pro, cons, risk, benefits and prevention of
vaccine side effects. Swine Flu will be addressed. Syllabus included.
Dr. Feder will also have her books on hand as well as homeopathic flu
remedies available. Due to the nature of this lecture, no children
please. Babes in arms O.K.

It is
officially COLD! I guess this means we are entering winter and Christmas is only a couple of weeks away. Our family will be spending the Holidays in Spain,
visiting Juans family. I am running around trying to make sure we are getting
everything we need to stay warm, as it is REALLY cold there!
We had a
lovely turnout for Anna Gettys book signing. She b
rought a display of the
crafts from her book and they had us all ooohhing and ahhing! Simple, stylish
and absolutely green. Belly Sprout has her book for sale, if you missed the
event. It makes an excellent gift for your family and friends!
Make sure
to swing by the store for some sweet gift ideas. Anna Getty picked up some
Eco-Tools and an Apple and Bee cosmetic bag for a friend, as well as some
Barefoot Books for her little one. We can wrap it for you and you can either

AWESOME place.. by Rebeca: This place is incredible. I stumbled on this place after giving birth to my son--- I was going a little stir-crazy in the house, and wandered in while on a walk. WOW. I wish I had found it sooner. First off, if you are looking for a chance to get out of the house, this place is unbelievably baby-friendly. There are chairs to nurse in, and the area for kids to play in (they've got really cool toys, too!) is bigger than the actual "store" portion of the store. The Mommy and Me on Fridays (free! Cool!) is a wonderful thing--- just show up, relax, socialize your kid, and kick back with other moms. :) More »

is an informal gathering of mamas and their children (babies to tots)

class is designed to help you understand the art of breast-feeding from
La Leche League leader, Kelly Miller. She will help you get prepared to
nurse your baby by learning the proper latch-on techniques as well as
trouble-shooting specific concerns. This is an excellent class for
pregnant women. Dec. 9th 7-9p.m. Mommy Mingles: Craft Circle $7 Join

My personal vision for Belly Sprout began with the pregnancy of my first son, Mayu. I knew that I wanted to cloth diaper, baby-wear and use natural products for him from bath care, supplements to natural toys. The only problem was I couldn't find a local retailer which carried the products I needed. I spent my limited free time searching the web and sometimes making erroneous purchases. I really wanted to touch, feel and see what I would be buying!
Belly Sprout was born with the passion of bringing such products to mothers who were also searching for the same for themselves and their children. I have a high criteria before I purchase anything for the store and have personally used nearly everything in the store for my family. Quality, performance, clean and natural are things I will not compromise.
